ITW Appliance Components is a business within ITW Specialty Products, one of ITW’s seven segments, comprised of a group of diverse businesses leveraging patented technology to meet the need of large customers' solution-based requirements.​

ITW Appliance Components is a global leader supplying Consumer Appliance OEM’s with value-added, innovative component solutions focused on Laundry, Refrigerator, and Dishwasher applications to improve product Performance, Safety, and Energy Management with revenues exceeding $200 million in 2022. The division is comprised of ten (10) sites in North America, Europe, and Asia with over 1,700 employees.​

Division Strategic Intent: We will be the world’s preferred partner with OEM Market Leaders in developing sustainable, high performing and Safe Household Appliances by leveraging our global manufacturing footprint and through value proposition engineering and sales solutions for the Sensors, Actuators and Closures segments.​

ITW Appliance Components is one of the most complex and high-profile businesses within the segment & enterprise. The Commercial Business Unit Manager will act as a strategic business leader for the North American Region.  ​

Job Description

 

  • Develop and deliver a regional strategy, in order to meet Sales and Profitability Targets. Provide strong commercial leadership, and act as a figurehead when dealing with customers on large or complicated projects​

  • •Work with Global Team to establish a vision for the North American Region business to position it as a market leader.​

  • •Establish a results-oriented management style that measures and evaluates individual performance against clearly defined accountable competencies, responsibilities and objectives. Lead the management team to success and ensures decision-making is balanced and reflects the best interests of the company.​

  • •Participate in the annual planning process and contribute to long-range strategic and financial plans.​

  • •Review performance relative to sales, costs, budget administration and payables to drive growth and profitability, and to initiate appropriate corrective action when necessary.​

  • •Apply 80/20 and all other ”Toolbox” initiatives to the business and lead the team to stay focused on top priorities.​

  • •Coach and develop talent within the business unit, focusing on attracting and retaining the best talent available.​

  • •Establish and control pricing for all products and keep abreast of competitive pricing activity in order to recommend a pricing structure that enhances the business unit’s position in the marketplace.​

  • •Maintain frequent contact with major key accounts to ensure growth and to promote the strength and integrity of the business.​

Qualifications

Qualifications/Experience:

  • University degree, Business, engineering, or manufacturing. MBA or MS preferred​

  • 5+ years commercial & portfolio management ​

  • 5+ years of global (international business) experience with direct ownership of multiple sites & cross-cultural awareness.​

  • 5+ years in Manufacturing Environment​

  • Demonstrated ability to produce results within a decentralized environment and to develop productive working relationships at all levels of the organization.​

  • Experience in change management, and use of analytical skills to identify opportunities & measure results.​
