Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

Learning is essential to everything we do. At Travelers, the Enterprise Learning Enablement team utilizes learning technology to develop, assess, and lead organizational programs and processes to deliver optimal learning experiences and strategies to meet short- and long-term business goals and objectives. As a Manager, Learning Enablement, you will collaborate with business partners, subject matter experts and learning teams to influence short and long-term strategies by identifying and implementing learning technology solutions across a broad portfolio of organizations. You will identify opportunities and prioritize efforts in partnership with the business or functional area.

What Will You Do?

  • Support the development of a comprehensive learning strategy, which includes product ownership, leadership consultation and influencing without direct authority.
  • Partner with management of all levels to assess and develop planning strategies and initiatives. Support and influence organizational initiatives which may include planning, designing, developing, and outlining solutions to learning objectives.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis to determine need, scope, and required resources to deliver optimal results based on business needs.
  • Support business continuity efforts to streamline internal processes and create a consistent learning experience.
  • Partner to manage vendor relationships. Identify and evaluate vendors.
  • Contribute to the Enterprise Learning Technology Road map and development of train-the-trainer tools and modules for training programs.
  • Develop measures to ensure learning solutions are effective and in alignment with business strategy. Report on effectiveness of learning solutions.
  • Stay abreast of learning technology best practices and trends. Provide feedback and insights on capabilities.
  • Accountability for development of Learning Enablement staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Six years of experience in Insurance, Operations and Technology, and three years of creating and implementing technology standards and best practices; or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to think strategically and use judgement to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of projects.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret trends and provide insights and recommendations to business partners.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to consult on projects and present information effectively.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability manage change and develop team members.

What is a Must Have?

  • Four years of experience in Learning, Insurance Operations, Technology, or related experience.
