Job Description
Positions available at Telemundo Network Group, LLC (1 Telemundo Way, Miami, FL 33182) for Manager, Content Operations News Digital with the following job duties:
- Responsible for daily coordination and curation of content produced by the digital news team.
- Responsible for leading the editorial process and giving direction to the team during assigned shift.
- Handle resourcefully multiple editorial tasks in a breaking news environment.
- Cover breaking news, sends alerts, and provide instruction to the team for further development.
- Review content for facts and up-to-date information in addition to reviewing grammar, style, and agreement with editorial guidelines.
- Responsible for reporting, producing, coordinating, planning, and publishing content on the website, app, social media accounts, and broadcast platforms.
- Generate a wide variety of story ideas, research and set up the content.
- Responsible for conceptualizing and writing accurate Spanish-language news stories.
- Work with the linear team to maximize news coverage on all platforms.
- Work under the direct supervision of the Director of News Digital Content and responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Journalism, Communications, or a related field and at least 7 years of experience in the job offered or at least 7 years of experience working in a newsroom.
- Must also have experience in the following: reporting and publishing in Spanish digital outlets; experience in investigative reporting and politics coverage; managing social media platforms; and experience supervising, training, and coaching a team.
- Must be fluent in Spanish.
We are offering a salary range of $98,114 per year to $132,000 per year, depending upon qualifications.
