Position Overview:

We are seeking a Manager, Data Insights to lead a team of analysts supporting the Product and Customer Experience divisions at Care.com. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering complete data solutions, ensuring data integrity, and enabling strategic decision-making across the organization.

This position requires strong leadership in data analytics, business intelligence, and stakeholder collaboration, along with hands-on experience in dashboarding, A/B testing, and reporting. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives on collaborating with product managers, software engineers, and data warehouse teams to build scalable data solutions that drive business success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead a team of analysts, providing strategic guidance on project prioritization, resource deployment, and team development
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Experience teams to define reporting requirements and ensure high-quality data insights
  • Oversee the design, maintenance, and enhancement of data pipelines in collaboration with data warehouse engineers
  • Establish and maintain key business performance metrics, proactively identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Build and maintain dashboards and automated reports that provide real-time insights for stakeholders
  • Support and guide the A/B testing strategy, analyzing test results to optimize product and customer experience initiatives
  • Ensure data cleanliness and integrity, addressing gaps and inconsistencies in data sources
  • Hire, train, and mentor analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
  • Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to business leaders, influencing strategic direction
  • Drive continuous improvement in analytics processes, staying up to date with the latest tools and methodologies

Who You Are:

  • 6+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields, with 2+ years of experience managing or mentoring analysts
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and working with large datasets
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, or similar)
  • Experience in A/B testing design and analysis
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating business needs into analytical solutions
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience working with data engineering teams to ensure scalable reporting solutions
  • Experience hiring and developing analytical talent
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
  • Familiarity with Amplitude or similar product analytics tools is a plus

Education/Other Pre-Requisites:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
