Job Summary:
The Digital Project Manager will manage projects from inception to implementation, supporting the digital accessibility team’s adherence to operational excellence standards, and collaborate across business areas to ensure delivery quality. This role will establish digital accessibility standards and processes; define and implement project roadmap for onboarding teams to our accessibility testing and strategy partner; and prioritize and facilitate day-to-day work with accessibility testing and strategy partner. This person will support the Digital Accessibility Operations Strategy Manager in identifying cross-team dependencies, defining business requirements, tracking project status, escalating issues & risks, and ensuring all issues are resolved in a timely manner to the best of our ability. Critical to our success, this role will drive efficiencies across teams, improving the way we work as well as the quality of our work.
Responsible for managing projects from inception to implementation. Leads project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budgets, and meet business needs. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Major Responsibilities:
The Digital Project Manager will support the Digital Accessibility Team through the following responsibilities related to the Accessibility Program roadmap:
- Effectively build and lead teams, working collaboratively across business areas in support
- Manage business deliverables and tasks at the release/program level as well as at the individual project level
- Champions digital accessibility, accessibility testing, accessibility training, and universal/inclusive design principles across the enterprise. Proactively manages onboarding of teams, testing/evaluation projects, and oversees remediation by product teams through retesting with accessibility testing vendor. ,
- Ability to present, communicate and create compelling story to articulate the “why” behind accessibility decisions to stakeholders. Excel in creating cross functional relationships across product design, design operations, legal, product, engineering, risk, compliance and digital. Interpret data and insights from Voice of the Customer team and partner with research team on continued enhancement of user experience.
- Continue advancement of skills for digital accessibility and leadership. Keep abreast of new tools, trends and technology for team skills advancement. Working knowledge of Digital Accessibility.
- Facilitate and run meetings for project updates and information exchange between business and technology groups
- Proactively communicate status, action items, issues and risks to project stakeholders
- Effectively develop and manage program plans, task plans, and adapt style and approach to the business need
- Ensure all deliverables for the team are completed with specified quality standards and deployed with timelines
- Support the business lead with defining requirements, completing change management deliverables
- Maintain and promote project and training calendars
- Gathers business requirements and translates them for project teams. Manage all aspects of each projects. Leads project teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budgets, and meet business needs.
- Assembles project teams. Aligns roles and responsibilities for all project resources. Ensures project progress is tracked and team members are providing progress updates.
- Assists with business requirements analyses. Manages project scopes, issues, and risks. Ensures change controls are executed appropriately. Estimates work efforts and manages resources.
- Documents agendas, meeting minutes, action items, project plans, and issue logs. Communicate project statuses to stakeholders.
- Champions a culture of disability inclusion and equity, effective risk management, accountability, and demonstration of risk awareness across the organization.
