Lead Developer in Test

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Summary of Duties:
- Develop and execute software testing components, develop automation solutions, and perform manual tests as needed throughout the SDLC.
- Ownership of automation architecture (both functional and performance) and set up test frameworks/infrastructure.
- Oversee/manage reviews of system architecture, code, and design documents for specific portfolio.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Perform Independent Assurance on all SDLC phases in a project.
- Actively participate in collaborative resolution of defects including root cause analysis of production incidents.
- Continually look for ways to innovate and improve testing process to gain efficiencies.
- Provide business domain expertise in the project involved.
- Ensure compliance with FINRA technology policies and standards.
- Ensure adherence to technology policies and compliance with all security controls.
- Provide domain expertise in the project involved and serve as technical subject matter expert.
- Create and execute complex test strategies across multiple systems as required to execute tests.
- Architect, design, and develop automation code, scripts, utilities, simulators, data generators, API/Interface testing solutions, and other programmatic test tools to test complex systems.
- Review and provide feedback on system architecture, code, and design documents.
- Effectively communicate testing activities, findings, and project risk in oral and written formats.
- Champion the collaborative resolution of defects including root cause analysis of production incidents.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Developers in Test.
Education requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or STEM or related field or foreign equivalent
Experience requirements: 7 years’ experience in software development or test automation
Or, alternatively:
Education requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or STEM or related field or foreign equivalent
Experience requirements: 5 years’ experience in software development or test automation

Special Skills or Other Requirements:
Experience must include:
- Computer science fundamentals – algorithm design, problem solving, and data structures.
- Unit testing, integration testing, system testing, performance testing, security testing, and Agile methodology.
- Java, JavaScript, Angular, and software architecture and design.
- Functional testing, performance testing, security testing, DevOps testing, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Jenkins, Cucumber, Rest Assured, Junit, and Gherkin.
- Architecting, designing, and developing automation frameworks and test suites.
- AWS: ECS, Kinesis Streams, Lambdas, SQS, RDS, and S3.
- Unix/Linux environment.
Salary: $174,338.67 - $232,500 per year
