This job manages corporate system teams, day-to-day individual and team dynamics, work prioritization, quality, fiscal stewardship, project strategy and management of all aspects of a project life cycle. Manages direct reports who are involved in the day-to-day operations of the support for corporate systems; provides strategy input, guidance and steering to information services senior leadership and application-level players in their area of expertise (steering committees, clinical champions, and revenue cycle accountability); and provides mentoring and coaching associated with performance development and project management. Makes decisions for large projects with broad impact, serves as the central point of communication and coordination for the teams, influences and directs internal communications and change management and coordinates overall project needs.

Education

Required - Bachelor's degree.

Preferred - Master’s degree in finance, business administration or related field.

Additional degrees, business training experience and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications.

Work Experience

Required - 5 years of related experience including three years supervision or management experience.

Preferred - Experience in an information technology setting.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities and work a flexible work schedule, including working more than eight hours a day.

Job Duties

  • Directs daily operations of the department.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and conducts performance reviews of employees.
  • Develops appropriate budgets.
  • Makes recommendations for long-range plans which support the company's mission to senior management.
  • Develops and revises organizational structures to meet functional needs and ensures communication, reporting, and incentives align people and processes.
  • Manages application support and strategies.
  • Evaluates new system requests for duplication with current systems and ensures adherence to current information services standards.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
