About the role

*** Internship for Summer of 2026 ***  Internship Details: 
  • This position will require you to be located in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area.
  • You must be currently enrolled in either undergraduate or graduate level coursework to qualify as an intern. 
  • We are in a hybrid schedule, 2 days in the office and 3 days work from home.
  • Interns are responsible for securing their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship. OverDrive does not provide housing assistance or relocation support.
 OverDrive is looking for bright, driven, creative and out of the box thinkers who want to help create the way reading will be done for the next generation.  We currently have an opening for a Content Marketing - Libby Intern. Who We Are:The OverDrive Team is a group of passionate individuals working to deliver digital books to readers at libraries, schools and retailers all over the world. We believe every great idea should be pursued, and we regularly celebrate the great ideas that come from every department.      Responsibilities:     
  • Researching current social trends across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube and suggesting content ideas for Libby.
  • Monitoring giveaways, assisting in choosing winners and shipping prizes. 
  • Assisting in researching potential influencer partners for Libby.
  • Assisting in shipping influencer PR boxes.
  • Assisting with social media shoots as needed for Libby; duties may include coming up with concepts, capturing video (via smartphone), and editing.
  • Track weekly performance metrics on Sprout Social and provide observations/recommendations to the team. 
  • Assist with community management for Libby via Sprout; and engaging with like-minded brands, patrons, and partners.
 Requirements:     
  • Social media experience.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • Able to communicate effectively and appropriately with client contacts, outside vendors/contractors and internal staff.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Flexible; ability to respond quickly to changes in project scope or timelines.
