Responsibilities:
As a Software Engineer you will produce efficient and elegant source code based on system requirements and specifications. Test and deploy programs and applications. Troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing software. Observe user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products. Develop technical documentation and in-app user guidance.
Must-haves:
- Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college or technical school, with at least 6 months until graduation after end of internship
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Demonstratable knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Proficient in at least one object oriented programming language
- Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
- Strong organization skills and work ethic; detail oriented
Preferred:
- Strong code development, specific software languages (Java, AngularJS, React), test driven development
- Experience or interest working with Python, YAML
- Knowledge of compiling, linking in C/C++ Java.
- Ability to write unit tests
- Experience with Integrated Development Environments (eg. Eclipse, IntelliJ)
- Experience with source control management systems (eg. Git, SVN)
- Experience with issue management, collaboration, and deployment systems (such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins)
