About the Position:
The Virginia State Police (VSP) is seeking to hire an Intelligence Analyst Senior in our High-Tech Crimes Division in Fairfax, Virginia. The successful candidate will provide Cyber Tip management and professional support to the Task Force Coordinator, Northern Virginia/District of Columbia Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, and provide oversight of Task Force assets; perform research for cyber tip case referrals and completes comprehensive technical reports; maintain databases and computer programs that aid with performing analytical analysis of various types of data and scenarios; create and submits accurate progress reports for the ICAC Program; monitor the performance of grant goals and objectives to ensure completion in accordance with specified timelines; maintain, store, and retrieve statistical information to prepare correspondence and reports related to Task Force Operations; and attend Task Force regional meetings and liaisons with affiliate agencies in sharing information, determining training needs, and identifying other means to increase operational efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
•Considerable knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective national, State, and local security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
•Skill in operating computers, using Microsoft Office applications, and using analytical and data management system software.
•Demonstrated ability to read, explain, and apply policies, procedures, and regulations; to collect, summarize, interpret and communicate information and technical data orally and in writing in English; to maintain accurate and complete files; to manage multiple priorities and follow oral and written instructions; to prepare reports and correspondence; and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and representatives of other agencies and organizations.
•Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a federal security clearance.
•Requires three-year commitment to the Virginia Fusion Center (VFC) and ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
•High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Additional Considerations
•Experience working in an investigative or analytical capacity including criminal analytical training is preferred.
•Public Safety experience or other broad scope governmental experience preferred.
