What you will do:

  • Ensure that electrical maintenance work is performed in compliance with regulations and company O&M procedure requirements.

  • Perform emergency response first responder duties.

  • Complete safety and technical training.

  • Complete required Operator Qualified (OQ) training and certifications.

  • Develop and implement equipment lockouts and routine open system job plans.

  • Maintain, calibrate, and solve pipeline system electrical equipment: substation equipment, medium voltage switchgear, VFDs, 480V systems, PLC systems, instrumentation systems, petroleum quality systems, and measurement systems.

  • Use maintenance management system, i.e. Maximo, to document maintenance work.

  • Collaborate with the Area Supervisor, other Electrical Technicians, Mechanical Technicians, Technical Specialists, and PLM, to plan, schedule, and complete maintenance work efficiently and effectively.

  • Assist Electrical & Mechanical Technicians in work group at various locations as required.

  • Maintain terminal and station records and update drawings as required.

  • Submit as-built drawings to drafting department to ensure area drawings are up to date.

  • Assist project teams with construction projects as assigned: design reviews, Hazops, pre-bid tours, pre-construction meetings, mechanical equipment installation, and equipment commissioning.

  • Communicate with and maintain a positive working relationship with the Control Center operators, Operations and Maintenance personnel, and other internal and external partners.

  • Perform terminal and station housekeeping activities.

  • Ensure Regional Objectives are kept in the forefront of day-to-day operations with Safety and performance of tasks critical to attaining the goals set forth by Regional Management.

  • Responsible for site security.

  • Responsible for acquisition of components for repairs.

  • Perform tasks within the allocated operating budget for each area of responsibility.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance, PHMSA, OSHA, EPA, etc.

  • Assist with Stakeholder Engagement, Damage Prevention and Emergency Response.

  • Oversee contractors or project work.

Who you are:

You have the following education & experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Technical or Vocational education

  • 2 or more years' experience in industrial electrical maintenance.

  • Excellent trouble shooting ability.

Preferred:

  • Additional 5 years’ experience in maintenance of crude oil pipeline, tank farm or delivery facilities

  • A certified technical designation.

  • Familiarity with pertinent equipment (pumps, motors, actuators, switchgear, programmable logic controls, motor control centers and instrumentation).

  • Electrical Journeyman or participation in an accredited Apprenticeship Program

  • Industrial experience with HVAC/R
