MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in the Fort Meade, Maryland area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Participate as a primary security engineering representative on integrated teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
- Design, develop, implement, and evaluate Information Assurance (IA) architectures, systems, and system components.
- Apply thorough knowledge of Information Assurance policy, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and security engineering best practices to build resilient secure computing environments.
- Interact directly with customer stakeholders and multi-disciplinary project team members to drive security alignment throughout the system engineering lifecycle.
- Support the Government in enforcing the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
- Provide comprehensive security planning, vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and risk management while identifying overall security requirements for Government data.
- Perform system and network designs across multiple enclaves and recommend robust solutions to resolve complex security requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (4 years of additional ISSE experience may substitute for a degree).
- Fourteen (14) years of experience as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) or in related information security or engineering roles.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST guidelines) and guiding systems through review boards.
