The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for an experienced, innovative, and motivated Journeyman Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the mission objectives and needs of the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) in Fayetteville, NC.
The position is contingent upon award of the USSOCOM Enterprise Development, Application and Training (EDAT) contract.
Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, and implements security concepts, controls, and mechanisms.
Enforces information systems security policies ensuring system security requirements are addressed.
Ensures readiness of all packages for Authorization and Accreditation (A&A).
Conducts certification and testing in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) policy.
Ensures system designs support the incorporation cyber security vulnerability solutions.
Analyzes test results, identifies deficiencies and provides recommendations of risk mitigation.
Creates systems and applications security test plans and performing hands-on security testing leveraging adversarial tactics.
Qualifications:
Required:
Must hold an active Top Secret clearance and be SCI eligible.
BA/BS and 3+ years relevant experience, AA/AS and 7+ years of experience, or 9+ years of relevant experience (in lieu of degree)
Current DoD 8140 – IAT II Certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+)
A track record of progressively responsible information assurance experience in ICD 503 certification and accreditation.
Must maintain required technical and security training relative to cybersecurity duties, in accordance with DoD instruction 8510.01, Risk Management Framework for DoD Systems, NIST Special Publication 800-53, Recommended Security Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations and DoD Directive 8570.01-M, IA Workforce Improvement Program.
ISSE must have certifications and/or comprehensive hands-on technical experience in the technology area(s) of their assigned system(s) in order to effectively carry out their duties.
Familiarization with NIST Special Publication 800-37 Revision 1, Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework to Federal Information Systems‟, Committee on National Security Systems Instructions (CNSSI) 1253, and NIST SP 800-53 Revisions 3 and 4, SP800-39, SP 800-30.
