Position Title: Information Systems & Analytics Associate
Reports to: Associate Director of Systems Planning & Operations
Location: Employees in this role can work from our Boston, MA office, remotely within the U.S. or hybrid of these two options (5% travel domestic or international)

Position Overview:
The Information Systems & Analytics Associate (“the Associate”) will focus on building, improving, and managing critical systems and data pipelines pertaining to Partners In Health’s (PIH) current and future data systems and analytics needs. This role will take on active administration of key systems used across functional teams and geographies, identifying ways to optimize the configuration and design of these systems to promote best use. The Associate also will maintain data pipelines from and between source systems through data warehousing tools, building custom queries, data transformation, and refresh schedules. This role will build complex reports, conduct analysis, test solutions, and train power users on how to interpret information and utilize tools effectively. The Associate may be tasked with leading communication and partnership with a particular stakeholder team, ensuring that team’s systems and reports are operational and up to date. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical knowledge, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to think critically and solve problems.
Major Responsibilities:
- Application and Process Design (25%): Leads the evaluation and improvement of applications and processes across the organization’s suite of applications, leading requirements gathering, testing and implementation of specific projects. Proactively identifies and resolves issues, keeping end users informed of any down time or impacts.
- Analysis and Report Development (25%): Develops complex dashboards and reports using analytics tools such as Microsoft (MS) Excel, MS Power BI, and Jet Reports for various internal teams, cross-departmental and cross-geographical audiences, and management. Assists stakeholder team members to own and interpret their data through coaching on these tools, as needed.
- Data Management and Integration (20%): Implements PIH’s Data Warehousing strategy by interfacing with teams to move data into data warehouse tools, identify relevant data relationships, mappings, and transformations, publish and analyze datasets for stakeholder use, and updates and maintains permissions to those datasets.
- Project and Stakeholder Management (15%): Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders while developing a solution, providing updates, addressing issues, and revising timeline estimates as necessary. This may include taking primary responsibility for ensuring that a particular team’s systems and reports are operational and taking the lead to address any issues as they arise.
- Application Support (15%): Provides support and troubleshooting to end users for various operational systems such as, but not limited to, Serenic (MS Dynamics NAV), Vena, Jet Reports, Concur, Salesforce, HubSpot, and MS Office 365 Suite and Power BI, while bolstering PIH’s efforts to grow capacity organization wide by creating documentation and training super users in each system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 3-5 years of experience in Public Health, Business, Information Technology, Data Science, or similar area
- 4-5 years of related work experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
- Proven ability to learn new systems, processes and problem solve
- Attention to detail, ability to follow and create instructions and documentation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills; Proficiency in MS Power BI and Jet Reports, or similar data visualization tool
- 3 years of system administration and/or database administration
- Exemplary interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across departments and countries
- Interest in social justice strongly desirable
