Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a Human Resources Supervisor who oversees the daily operation of the Human Resources Information Solution Unit (HRIS) located in one of our Central Offices. This position also supervises and distributes assignments to the HRIS Specialists, directs staff in completing salary calculations, new employee in-processing, creating and auditing HRIS input documents.

Job Duties:

- Supervises and directs subordinate staff
- Distributes assignments for completion and monitor to ensure time frames are met
- Monitors leave balances and approves or denies leave requests
- Evaluates work performance and products
- Takes corrective action as necessary
- Conducts interviews for new hires
- Conducts and participates in staff meetings
- Completes pre-audits of input document and other required documents prior to entry into HRIS by the HRIS Specialists
- Ensures all required authorizations have been received and all information is correct
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws, Administrative Rules and Regulations, and ADCRR policies and procedures
- Reviews personnel actions received from HR Supervisors and Liaisons and keys information into HRIS

- Researches, acts and responds to all Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) incoming mandatory reports such as Social

- Security Number discrepancies, retirement code errors and end of the year tax exemptions
- Contacts the appropriate Human Resources Liaisons with the action to take on the staff impacted
- Provides feedback and completes research to complete or update unit desk manuals and other written instructions
- Trains HRIS Specialists and other Human Resources Operations Unit staff on how to complete HRIS entries, use, and auditing of information entered
- Travels on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
