Summary Description:

The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing effective and efficient Human Resource management in support of the corporate office functional departments. The role supports the functional leadership teams to drive and attain business goals.  This is achieved through supporting leaders to recruit, retain, develop and motivate high quality employees that enable the achievement of  organizational objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Daily management of all HR related issues for the corporate headquarters and other support locations.
  • Ensure comprehensive understanding of and adherence to all HR policies and procedures as well as external influences such as employment legislation, laws and regulations.
  • Provide a progressive, best practice service to all Managers covering areas such as, but not limited to recruitment and selection, employee onboarding, performance management, training and development, organizational change, communication programs, employee relations and workforce planning.
  • Develop and implement consistent framework of employment standards which ensure competitiveness in the communities in which we operate and which position Refresco as an employer of choice.
  • Serves as internal consultant to managers, supervisors and associates on personnel issues that affect performance and business relationships.
  • Develops relationships and promotes mutually beneficial partnerships with employees and management
  • Supports the Great Place to Work Program and action planning.
  • Analyzes and prepares data to support and recommend employee retention strategies
  • Work with and network with HR colleagues across all locations to ensure sharing of best practice
  • Actively involved in activities in the local community that will build the Refresco employer brand
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure effective hiring and onboarding of hourly and salaried employees at the location
  • Support the corporate payroll function and ensure timely and complete delivery of all necessary payroll related files to the central payroll team.
  • Delivers direction to the Human Resources admin and ensures HR administrative tasks get executed in a timely and complete manor
  • Trains supervisors and managers on the Manager Self Service features in our Payroll and Time & Attendance system
  • Act as a first point of contact for all benefits related questions at the location, actively supports employees during open enrollment and ensures all benefits related information is being entered into the system in a timely and complete manner
  • Encourage a safe working environment by actively participating in safety related activities
  • Ensures a timely and complete delivery of Human Resources data and metrics for either standardized reports or ad hoc information requests
