Job Description:
The Global Corporate Card Program Manager requires a strategic, resourceful, solution-oriented thinker with strong analytical skills who has the ability to develop and manage card program strategy, and set and execute against program objectives, following company policies and guidelines to achieve the best possible business results.
The role is responsible for the management and oversight of HPE’s global corporate card program currently available in 51 countries and comprised of 3 card programs (Travel, Purchasing and Meeting Card) and accountable for creating and maintaining robust program policies; driving compliance through appropriate program reporting and controls; and managing the relationship with the bank card provider including contract ownership.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Card Operations manager to lead team of corporate card program administrators, overseeing the end-to-end processes of the card program.
- Maintain program websites, manuals, trainings; development of SOP’s ensuring program alignment & approvals.
- Partner closely with Global Travel, Meeting and Purchasing programs to ensure continued program alignment and cohesiveness including policies, compliance, processes, documentation, etc.
- Analyze and report on program metrics, providing industry best-in-class comparisons, trend analysis, and spend data analysis to identify potential issues or opportunities.
- Manage and monitor program risk, including conducting various analyses and acting on the results to improve controls and maximize program rebate.
- Identify program modifications or opportunities to improve and/or expand the card program as business needs dictate.
- Adapt to change and understand downstream impacts to the program, team and internal business partners
- Project management and process improvement experience including the Management of annual budget for the Director, Travel, Card & Meeting Programs
- Participate in company-wide initiatives as needed
- Support company Mergers & Acquisitions where card is involved
- Support Card Compliance, Internal Audit, ECO, HR, on all audits and employee investigations where card is included
- Lead, coach, mentor, and influence card operations manager and team
- Develop and present training on a variety of card program related topics
- Judiciously enforce company policies while assuming positive intent
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required
- 5+ years’ experience managing a corporate card program, in a regulated industry including at least 5 countries and 2 global regions not including the US / Canada; financial background a plus
- • A solid end to end understanding of corporate card program management including program setup and implementation, KYC, and credit facility management; merchant industry knowledge a plus
- • Knowledge of the Procure-2-Pay (P2P) process including understanding of purchasing and accounting principles, processes and best practices as related to corporate card programs
- Knowledge of card related internal controls, compliance programs, and financial and banking regulations as related to corporate cards is necessary
- Previous experience participating / developing card provider QBR’s, Annual Reviews, contract reviews, contract negotiations, and / or RFPs necessary
- Ability to summarize large volumes of information and data including card data files / tables; management and design of business intelligence tool needs for card program
