General Maintenance Technician

The primary responsibility of the General Maintenance Technician is to address tenant reactive / requested repairs and services and basic preventative maintenance work orders and maintain a safe environment for building occupants.

Responsibilities

• Completes preventive and corrective work orders as assigned.
• Familiar with basic HVAC, electrical and plumbing including restroom fixture repair and replacements (Excluding any refrigerant work requiring EPA Universal Certification)
• Awareness of building automation responses and adjustments
• Ability to identify equipment defects by visual and/or audio inspection.
• Advises supervision of identified defects in equipment and potential problems that require additional attention.
• Carries out varieties of general repair tasks – first responder duties.
• Carries out furniture and fixture assembly, adjustments, relocations and repairs.
• Maintains equipment logs as directed.
• Maintain mechanical equipment rooms in a safe and clean manner.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• At times, must be available for after normal hours support.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 
• One year of relevant experience in basic HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
• A valid state driver's license.
