About the role
The primary responsibility of the General Maintenance Technician is to address tenant reactive / requested repairs and services and basic preventative maintenance work orders and maintain a safe environment for building occupants.
Responsibilities
- Completes preventive and corrective work orders as assigned.
- Familiar with basic HVAC, electrical and plumbing including restroom fixture repair and replacements (Excluding any refrigerant work requiring EPA Universal Certification)
- Awareness of building automation responses and adjustments
- Ability to identify equipment defects by visual and/or audio inspection.
- Advises supervision of identified defects in equipment and potential problems that require additional attention.
- Carries out varieties of general repair tasks – first responder duties.
- Carries out furniture and fixture assembly, adjustments, relocations and repairs.
- Maintains equipment logs as directed.
- Maintain mechanical equipment rooms in a safe and clean manner.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- At times, must be available for after normal hours support.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One year of relevant experience in basic HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
- A valid state driver's license.
