JOB DESCRIPTION:
Preparation and Presentation of consolidated financial statements
• Prepare group consolidated financial statement and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
• Understand financial statements and be able to explain to management any variances vs prior periods.
• Coordinate with other finance functions in monthly closing process to ensure closing timeline is met.
• Perform month end closing activities including but not limited to bank/cash reconciliation, timely and accurate processing of journal entries (Fixed Asset Depreciation, Intangible Asset Amortization, Prepayment Expense, Payroll entries and other adjustments and corrections as needed), Intercompany balances reconciliation.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation and analyses of balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure accounting transactions comply with international standards. Give advice on best practice of accounting for complex transactions.
Managing annual audit process
• Liaise with external auditors and assist in annual audit process for the Group and for key subsidiaries in Asia, ensure that audits are completed in timely and satisfactory manner.
Managing changes and improvements to internal finance processes
• Be involved in finance process and system improvement projects, representing general ledger function and giving support including but not limited to cleaning up data for system upload, balance re-classifications or corrections, user acceptance testing.
Managing Team
• Manage a team of 6 General Ledger accountants.
• Define KPIs for each finance function to monitor productivity, efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
It could be you, if you have:
• University graduate and qualified accountant.
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in various finance functions in multi-national companies, with at least 2 years of managing people.
• Big 4 audit experience, and/or experience in Shared Service Center is an advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge on international accounting standards, particularly related to acquisition of businesses, leases, foreign exchange, intangible assets.
• Solid operational know-how of consolidation of financial statements involving companies in different countries.
• Experience with Finance ERP is required. Knowledge on Oracle Netsuite a plus.
• High degree of analytical and reporting skills
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel (VBA, Power Query, Power Pivot a plus)
• Good command of both written and spoken English
• Mature, proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, able to work independently and meet tight deadline
