Fiscal Assistant II
This position acts as initial point of contact for Finance & Accounting within the agency and outside the agency. Is a full-time, highly responsible administrative position that requires the individual to work independently with limited supervision.
Main Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming mail, date stamps and distribute to appropriate sections.
- Back up for Financial Administrator's staff assistant
- Process warrants and electronic fund transfer payments
- Responsible for tracking all EFTs, checks and money orders received in preparation of daily log.
- Maintains time leave and attendance for finance on main Calander
- Maintains AP Billing box
- Scans invoices, sends to correct program, saves in AP folder and enters on AP invoice log
- Perform other related duties
Knowledge, Skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of general office procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of correct grammar usage.
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
- Knowledge of the methods of data collection.
- Ability to use proper phone etiquette and provide outstanding customer service.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to organize and file materials
- Ability to develop and implement office procedures.
- Ability to review fiscal data for accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Skilled in typing or in the use of keyboard-controlled data input devices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Aptitude to work independently and as part of a team
- Skill in using basic office equipment, including phone, fax, and copiers.
