Architect - Network Security - Cisco/Fortinet (Florida-based)

Provide network engineering consulting services, including assessment, design, and implementation of modern secure networking environmentDGR Systems, a growing premier technology consulting company, is looking for a Senior Network Security Architect experienced in the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise networks to join our highly-competent team. The Senior Network Security Architect will perform a variety of technical and operational duties in support of the company’s networking and security practice. This is a client-facing role where the person would play both a pre-/post-sales role while performing as a technology professional. This position requires an individual who is highly motivated, is client-focused, and has excellent communication and presentation skills. The candidate for this position must have an in-depth knowledge of network security architecture and how solutions are deployed.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discussions to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications such as the creation of Statements of Work (SOW) and Bill of Materials (BOM) for clients
• Perform and Lead Implementation of technical solutions (proof of concepts / pilots, or production ready systems) to meet or to prove the functional and non-functional requirements.
• Provide network engineering consulting services, including assessment, design, and implementation of modern secure networking environments
  
• Strong understanding of Routing protocols (eBGP, iBGP, OSPF)
• Develop and maintain technical deliverables including network assessments, capacity planning, detailed design documents, implementation/test plans configuration templates and scripts
• Engage in peer review sessions to aid fellow engineers in optimizing the quality of their deliverables.
• Perform root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents
• Configure Fortinet firewall and security solutions.
• Maintain up-to-date industry certification

Requirements

• Experience with Cisco and Fortinet products and devices

• Fortinet NSE 4 and NSE 5 certifications required

• Fortinet NSE 6 and NSE 7 are strongly preferred

• FortiGate SD-WAN and FortiClient EMS experience is a must
• Fortinet FortiNAC experience is strongly preferred
• In-depth understanding of network engineering, security (endpoint and network firewall) architecture and design

• Experienced with implementation of both network and security technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to author and follow defined processes and procedures

• Ability to architect, design, and troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN network solutions

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a broader team to achieve objectives

• Ability to follow defined methodologies to ensure a successful outcome of delivery engagements

• Up-to-date understanding of modern security threats and defense methods

• Able to clearly communicate detailed technical concepts in both oral and written formats

• Thorough understanding of modern routing and switching technologies including cloud networking concepts

• Proven track record in guiding clients through the evaluation and selection of technical solutions to address business requirements in a consultative manner.
