This position is responsible for overall supervision and productivity of manufacturing extrusions while fostering a work environment that supports safety, quality, productivity, teamwork, training and development, and the overall Reschcor culture and core values
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures effective employee relations and provides employee coaching and development
Makes employment decisions and works through employee issues following proper management and Human Resources department protocols
Complete performance reviews in a timely fashion
Actively participates in the hiring process while mentoring/developing team members
Balances safety, quality, productivity, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas
Support and maintain continuous improvements
Assists with achieving daily production requirements and accurately reporting these results
Participates in and actively supports the facility safety systems
Understands and utilizes the Quality Management system
Assists with troubleshooting machinery/equipment
Responsible for executing training plans to grow and develop team members
Responsible for managing accurate time and attendance records and time off requests
Responsible for disciplinary actions
Responsible for daily production reporting
Appropriately manage and utilize available labor to maximize machine utilization
Follow up on production and quality issues with direction of Production Manager and Quality Manager
Supervisors will need to enjoy working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent is required, Bachelor degree preferred
5-7 years of manufacturing supervisory and leadership experience and demonstrated ability to lead teams
Experience in plastics is preferred but not required
Lean manufacturing or six sigma experience is a plus
Proficient with arithmetic, algebra, statistical calculations, and metrology including rulers, tape measures, and calipers
Ability to problem solve and multi-task
Must possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to interact within all levels of the organization
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel as the ability to work with the ERP system (IQMS)
Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documents
Physical Requirements
Considerable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination is required
Ability to work a 12-hour shift on a 3-2-2 schedule is required
