The VP role will be a key player in turning ideas to drive the future growth of LPL, and our financial advisors, into reality. We are looking for candidates who are adept at identifying market opportunities, prioritizing growth initiatives, developing go-to-market strategies, and reaching product-market fit.
The VP role will be part of our fast-paced Growth Strategy team where LPL dreams big – setting an ambitious growth vision – then owns, develops, and drives the highest impact growth levers – turning this vision into reality. Our VPs combine strategic thinking, human-centered design, market research & sizing, and data analysis to explore, ideate, and incubate the opportunities that will set LPL apart from the competition.
Responsibilities:
As a Vice President of Growth Strategy you will…
- Identify major growth opportunities for LPL and financial advisors
- Lead and support initiatives that will have a material impact to LPL’s growth
- Build strategic perspectives and execute – turning ideas into reality
- Collaborate across the firm to maintain alignment on vision, strategy, and goals, approaching strategy with an entrepreneurial mindset, leveraging critical thinking to increase the efficacy of growth strategy initiatives
- Develop strategy roadmaps, plans, and metrics that communicate progress, risks, and approach to execution that support continuous learning and improves growth outcomes. Sets a high bar for results through repeatable, scalable processes
- Be responsible for maintaining the backlog of growth initiatives
- Take a data-driven approach to uncovering value pools
- Conduct interviews and external research to determine customer needs and how they are being solved in the market
- Create best-in-class reports and prepare presentations related to LPL’s growth initiatives that are C-Suite ready
- Be willing and excited to be a “utility player”
- Be a key team member in the team responsible for defining and implementing LPL’s growth strategy
- Be an ambassador for LPL, building relationships with business partners to accelerate opportunities

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Data, Engineering, or the Liberal Arts
- 7+ years of experience in either strategy or management consulting in areas that include: growth strategy, growth “hacking”, innovation and new ventures, product strategy & development
- Superior analytical skills with an ability to identify relevant data + insights and present in an actionable manner
- Superior people and communication skills
- Superior presentation skills & ability to build a story narrative
- Robust knowledge of the wealth management industry and how financial advisors grow their business
Preferences:
- Management consulting experience
- Able to take complex topics and make them easy to understand
- Experience of merging human-centered design with growth strategy
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
