RESPONSIBILITIES: The CSSC Communications and Business Administration Specialist plays a vital role in overseeing the development and maintenance of digital platforms, including the summer parent portal, social media channels, and website content, to enhance communication and engagement with families and staff. They collaborate closely with the Marketing and Communications department to implement strategic marketing initiatives and support the planning and execution of events that promote Culver Summer Schools & Camps (CSSC) programs.

In addition, this role supports the successful execution of CSSC by managing a diverse portfolio of business administration responsibilities across purchasing, endowment tracking, and partnerships. This position ensures operational efficiency through effective procurement and budget alignment, maintains compliance with endowment guidelines, and fosters meaningful relationships with community partners and vendors.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors in business or communications or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years of experience at progressive levels of responsibility.
• Excellent writing and editing capabilities. In addition, the role requires strong capabilities in communication strategies and planning, digital communications, photography, video, and other communication platforms leveraged at summer camp.
• Marketing/outreach skills and experience required.
• Business administration skills required in the areas of purchasing, vendor/partner management, and accounting.
• Requires discipline, an ability to meet deadlines, and work under the pressure of many priorities.
• The ability to work effectively within every level and cross-functionally within the organization.
• This position entails having access to highly confidential information. Must be discreet and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite with particularly strong skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated proficiency in systems such as Final Site, Blackbaud, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
