Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following type of duties: 1) Providing technical advice and assistance to managers on a range of employee relations issues, including performance management, employee conduct, and disciplinary actions; 2) Researching and interpreting regulations, policies, and case law to recommend appropriate corrective actions and assist in resolving grievances and complaints; 3) Advising managers on labor relations matters, such as interpreting union contracts and responding to information requests; and 4) Assisting in preparing for third-party proceedings, such as arbitrations or mediations, by gathering facts and analyzing case information. Demonstrated work experience in the occupation is typically qualifying for placement. This criterion cannot be met by education and training.
