Manager, Global Restaurant Food Safety

This position will be responsible for maintaining Food Safety and Quality standards for Pizza Hut US with a 35% focus on the Global Restaurant Team. 

Key Responsibilities:

• 60% - Support the US Restaurant and Supply Food Safety Program.
• 40% - Support the Global Restaurant Food Safety Program.
• Manage the US Restaurant Food Safety program offering global support.
• Oversee a Supply Food Safety category using restaurant expertise to drive farm to fork compliance.
• Establish a comprehensive 1–5 year roadmap for PH Global restaurant food safety that aligns with Yum FSQ goals, operational strategies, and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as the global liaison for both restaurant and food safety with changes in global quality compliance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with senior leaders, Global Operations, Global Supply Chain to align efforts and ensure the global restaurant food safety strategy is successful.
• Monitor and drive the food safety, quality, and supplier performance for assigned food categories. Connect with key partners to develop and promote positive business results through open communication and strong partnerships.
• Drive superior quality products by leading and providing daily support for the PH FSQ Product Evaluation program and continuing to enhance and develop the future strategy of this program.
• Utilize specification management, supplier audits, product evaluations, and non-conformance monitoring to ensure compliance to all Pizza Hut standards and specifications. Partner with our Third-Party Restaurant Food Safety Audit Team to ensure standards are clear and applied correctly to drive continuous improvement with our supplier base.
• Work with product development suppliers, RSCS, and Operations teams to onboard new suppliers and ingredients to support menu strategy.
• Support new product innovation, providing technical knowledge of supplier process capabilities and providing suggestions or alternatives that help move these projects forward for the business.

People Leadership: Two Food Safety Specialists report into this position.

Working Relationships: Collaborate and influence the following functions: US and Global Food Team, Purchasing, Operations, Facilities, Cross Branded FSQ teams, Pizza Hut Suppliers.

Required Qualifications:

• You will be required to attend the Plano, TX office 3 days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
• Experience: Over 5 years of experience in restaurant and/or supply chain food safety. 
• Extensive experience in Food Safety and Quality system auditing, as well as HACCP. 
• Comprehensive knowledge of government regulations and the roles of FDA, USDA, Food Code, and Crisis Management. 
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of economic metrics pertinent to facility and business operations.
