What you will do:
The Administrative Assistant reports to the Senior Director of Polysilicon Operations at the Wacker Polysilicon plant located in Charleston, TN. The 3 primary duties of the position are: engage with Wacker employees to create a positive work environment, engage with the local community to connect Wacker employees with volunteer opportunities and to promote the Wacker brand, and provide administrative and organizational support for the Sr. Director of Operations and other members of the Polysilicon leadership team.
- Develop, coordinate, and participate in employee engagement activities.
- Organize and coordinate employee team building activities.
- Engage with employees on a personal level to identify areas of opportunity.
- Promote Wacker by work with site management in organizing community activities.
- Connect Wacker employees with volunteer activities within the community.
- Assist Polysilicon Senior Director of Operations in scheduling and coordination of activities.
- Assist with preparation for executive and Board member visitors.
- Handle preparation of internal and external correspondence
- Coordinate and facilitate new employees and contractors onboarding as well as candidate interviews, expense reports and follow-up.
- Perform other tasks as needed.
What we need from you:
- High School Diploma or GED, associate degree preferred
- 5 or more years of relevant experience
- Excellent people and communication skills required.
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
- Extended multi-tasking competency and the ability to work reliably with short response times in a fast-paced global network environment.
