This position will be 100% onsite at our Corporate office in North Spokane.


In this role, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate a high level of ethics, integrity, good judgment, team collaboration, and accurate work. As an advocate for fostering a workplace culture that motivates, engages, and develops our employees, you’ll work on day-to-day processes, be back-up for a variety of functions, assist with key projects and audits within the Human Resources and payroll teams and support and plan employee engagement activities. Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the Performance Review Platform for nonunion employees and be the point of contact for supervisors, training, and questions. 
  • Maintain job descriptions updates and managing annual JD reviews
  • Assist the VP of HR in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience.
  • Participate in reviewing updates to Employee Handbook and processes across the department.
  • Create and maintain collaborative partnerships across the organization to deliver value-added services to all employees.
  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of Employee Engagement Activities
  • Other duties and projects will be assigned as business needs require

  • We believe in the value of in-person collaboration and the innovative ideas that emerge from face-to-face interactions. For that reason, this position is onsite only. This position is not eligible for a remote nor a hybrid work schedule. 

Skills & Experience That Will Make You An Ideal Candidate: 

  • Must have work experience in Human Resources with progressively increasing responsibility, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • HR Professional Credential required (HRCI or SHRM professional designation). 
  • Aptitude for critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and decision making (Skills will be tested for those candidates selected for the interview process)
  • A working knowledge of cloud based HCM systems to enhance the continuous improvement processes of our system. 
  • Evidence of strength of character, ethics, integrity, and reliability.
  • Resilience and Self-Regulation: Ability to navigate challenges with composure and problem-solving skills and adapt to the ever changing business needs. 
  • Ability to maintain composure while working under pressure with strict deadlines, ability to pivot often and be agile.
  • Analytical with a strong attention to detail. (Skills will be tested for those candidates selected for the interview process)
  • A working knowledge payroll best practices and willingness to understand process as it relates to accounting general ledger and mapping of earning & deduction codes. (Skills will be tested for those candidates selected for the interview process)
  • Working knowledge of best practices for HR processes, employment laws, employee benefits, and wage and hour laws.
  • Ability to articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using oral, written, and non-verbal communication skills to inform and instruct.
