About the role

Join our dynamic Human Resources Team as a Human Resources Business Advisor (HRBA) Executive Director, where you will play a crucial role in creating, driving and executing strategic HR priorities and supporting clients within the CDAO (Data, Analytics, and AI) organization for the Commercial & Investment Bank.  As the primary relationship manager to the global senior leadership team, this position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate and work with a global team to drive strategic HR activities, initiatives and transformation. 

As a Human Resources Business Advisor in our dynamic Human Resources team, you will help deliver the end-to-end Talent Strategy by starting with business problems, curating the right solutions from product offerings, directly informing segmented product strategy and developing a uniform approach to talent processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, advise, execute and manage talent development agenda for the respective business unit ensuring close alignment with business priorities. This includes compensation, performance development and culture and leadership development. 
  • Provide advice, executive coaching and counsel to senior leaders on sophisticated organizational, leadership and people matters.
  • Identify innovative solutions to maximize organizational design and effectiveness, influence change management initiatives and enhance employee engagement.
  • Partner with the Leadership team/Senior leaders to drive organizational culture in line with business principles.
  • Leverage data to provide holistic insights and develop talent strategies to drive progress on business priorities.
  • Protect the firm and partner with business leaders and controls partners by providing objective advice and counsel on risk and people agenda matters.
  • Leverage knowledge of market and talent to drive best practice outcomes around the talent and people agenda.
  • Support the year-end compensation process and assist senior leaders with compensation decisions.
  • Partner with leaders on performance and talent management cycles, including succession planning and promotions.
  • Provide front-line support for HR risk and controls initiatives, ensuring appropriate controls for critical processes.
  • Utilize workforce data to understand trends and drive talent outcomes.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience as an HR Business Advisor/Partner or Talent & Organizational (HR) Consulting
  • Strategic, transformational, innovative and proactive mind-set coupled with strong foundational skills
  • Outstanding technical skills and proven data-driven decision-making
  • Demonstrated success with organizational design and execution
  • Strong change management and execution experience
  • Executive presence with strong verbal and written communication skills -proven experience influencing, coaching and counseling senior leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a global, fast paced, collaborative, team-based culture and leverage matrixed organization to problem solve, design and execute people priorities
  • Proven capability to work successfully across a large, global organization with multiple constituents, while influencing direction and outcomes. 
  • Project management abilities, including execution skills and end-to-end process improvement.
  • Ability to utilize critical thinking and analytical skills to identify issues and trends, develop solutions, and address root causes.
  • Comfortable partnering with employee relations and HR legal on complex and often time-sensitive employee matters.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Prior experience in the Data, Tech or AI domains 
  • Proactively integrates innovative technologies into day-to-day work, including the use of AI tools like large language models (LLMs), and actively shares with fellow colleagues.
