Senior Associate Scientist

BioPharma Consulting JAD Group is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Associate Scientist to join our research and development team. This role will involve leading several key projects in oligonucleotide development, focusing on both method development and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on lab support and process development for the chemical synthesis and downstream processing of oligonucleotide-based drug substance
• Synthesis of oligonucleotides up to 11 mmol scale
• Downstream processing of oligonucleotides including prep-HPLC, Ultrafiltration, annealing, concentration and Lyophilization
• In process analytical testing including AX-HPLC, IPRP-HPLC, LCMS, UV-vis
• Technical support for optimization of contract manufacturing processes

Requirements

Qualifications:

• BS in Chemistry with 2+ years lab experience in an industrial setting.
• Basic understanding of analytical techniques (pH, osmolality, conductivity measurement, HPLC, LCMS etc.).
• Knowledge of oligonucleotide manufacture process including phosphoramidite chemistry, chromatography, ultrafiltration etc.
• Experience in record-keeping and excellent laboratory documentation practice, are required.

• Strong background in oligonucleotide chemistry and related analytical techniques.
• Proficiency in method development for oligonucleotide synthesis and purification.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
