Senior Software Engineer - Java, Distributed, Microservices, Spring

Our people are some of the brightest and passionate in the industry that thrives on being the first to solve problems.  We are always looking to hire highly passionate, collaborative and humble people that want to make a difference.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p><strong>Responsibilities/What You’ll Do:</strong></p><ul><li>Design, build, test, document, deploy and maintain scalable, highly available, modular web applications</li><li>Drive continual improvement to system architecture</li><li>Work with Product Management to understand requirements</li><li>Produce high quality code in an agile environment</li><li>Advocate programming best practices and standards</li><li>Work with QA and other engineering teams to investigate and resolve production issues</li><li>Collaborate with Dev Ops and System teams for cloud rollouts, upgrades and maintenance</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>5+ years of software development experience with expertise in <strong>Java</strong></li><li><strong>Strong knowledge of design patterns and software engineering best practices</strong></li><li>Extensive Experience with traditional <strong>databases and APIs</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>Web Services (REST) and </strong>microservices preferred</li><li>Must have developed middle-tier or backend java apps for web applications</li><li>Some working experience with shell/perl/script programming</li><li>Some experience with Hibernate or Object relation mapping frameworks</li><li>A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field</li><li>Familiarity with the JSON, XML</li><li>Experience with browser debugging and profiling tools</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>LI-YK1</p><p><strong>Why Zscaler?</strong><br/><br/>People who excel at Zscaler are smart, motivated and share our values.
