Head Lifeguard - Lake Stockwell

Overview

The Head Lifeguard position is responsible for the daily operation of Day Camp’s waterfronts, including the general safety and supervision of swimmers.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction, supervision, and safety of all campers, staff and volunteers in waterfront area.
• Responsible for after camp swim lessons, as assigned.
• Supervise and participate in all assigned aspects of the campers’ day which includes but is not limited to: Camper check-in and check-out; and meal times.
• Attend and participate in two weeks of Leadership Staff Training and General Staff Training.
• Conduct at least one written performance review with staff during the summer.

Qualifications

• The incumbent must be 20 years of age or older.
• Lifeguarding experience is required.
• Knowledge in the safety, skill instruction and ability to understand emergency procedures in a waterfront setting.
• Previous camp experience or experience working with groups of children and supervision of staff is preferred.
• Incumbent must show enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility and maturity and have the ability to interact and communicate clearly with campers, parents and staff. 
• Incumbent must possess current certifications in lifeguarding Waterfront Module and professional CPR and First Aid; Waterfront Safety Instruction preferred. Training will be provided.

Posted Salary Range
