About the Role

What You Will Do
- Design and assemble prototypes and initial production units, conducting tests to verify design requirements and performance with minimal supervision.
- Design and fabricate parts using various molding techniques, optimize molding processes to improve efficiency and reduce production costs.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand design requirements and create detailed models and specifications using CAD software.
- Conduct design reviews and perform system-level analysis and simulations to ensure parts and systems meet all necessary standards and predict performance.
- Develop comprehensive system architectures integrating various components and subsystems.
- Produce and maintain accurate technical drawings for manufacturing and assembly, ensuring compliance with industry standards and revising based on feedback.
- Select appropriate materials and processes for manufacturing to meet design and performance criteria.
- Evaluate vendor quotes for cost-effectiveness, negotiate pricing and terms, and maintain organized records of technical documentation.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and document issues during the building and testing process, and collaborate on design improvements.
- Work with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet regulatory and quality standards, providing technical support during testing phases.
- Provide ongoing support for products throughout their lifecycle, ensuring continuous availability and addressing any issues.
What You'll Need to Have
- 2-4 years of experience in design and development with a BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Hands-on manufacturing expertise, including machine operation, metal and plastic fabrication, and CNC machining.
- Experience in design and systems engineering in automotive or aerospace.
- Strong CAD skills, specifically SolidWorks and PDM.
- Practical background in machining or manufacturing during product life cycle.
- Familiarity with Engineering Change Requests (ECR) or Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
