JOB OVERVIEW
The Sr. Director of Supply Chain is responsible for creating the vision and strategic direction for supply chain initiatives across The Boelter Companies. An aggressive and proven history of improving Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Forecasting to Demand Strategies, Fill Rate Optimization, Vendor Performance Management, and Inventory Optimization (Turns, Days on Hand) is necessary to be successful in this role. Additionally experience with logistics and physical distribution / warehouse teams is desired. The candidate will require strong leadership to mentor, influence and guide a large Supply Chain team.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/EXPECTATIONS
• Must be able to optimize processes to support end-to end supply chain efficiencies from sourcing through logistics and distribution. A strong collaboration and sharing of your vision and deployment plan will be necessary during the change management process.
• Effectively deploys and maintains a Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) forum at the division level to articulate the forecast and demand strategy across our customer and product base at an agreed upon cadence.
• Leads and supports a team to manage and carry out S&OP, vendor management, and inventory optimization methodologies.
• Must possess fundamental knowledge of Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP/MRP), MRP procedures (Consumption based, standard requirements and forecasts, and master production scheduling), and appropriate use of DRP/MRP types to drive procurement efficiencies.
• Strong Focus on improving and simplifying our supply chain business processes while navigating through the change management process. Improvements needed to allow for scale based on divisional growth.
• Works with Supply Chain Managers and Category Management team to improve vendor performance through KPI scorecards.
• Provides insight and collaborates with category management to ensure quality, innovation, consolidation, customer preferences and effective digital merchandising.
• Drives custom branding product process that optimizes efficiencies and performance around agreed upon KPI’s (e.g. fulfillment programs, fill rate performance, inventory optimization (Turns, days on hand, and slow moving, excess, and obsolescence mitigation).
• Pursues cost saving opportunities through Request for Proposals (RFP’s) to consolidate vendors and SKU’s.
• Actively engages in communication and Lean Six Sigma process improvements across our divisions to seek out harmonization opportunities leading to a standardized approach in supply chain.
• Must be adept at troubleshooting, problem solving, and performing root cause analysis to deploy appropriate solutions and action plans.
• Must be a transformative leader who is accountable and action oriented.
• Performs other challenging duties as assigned.
• Occasional travel required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree required with a preference in Supply Chain.
• 5 - 10 years of related work experience in distribution required, additional years of higher education and experience may be substituted for each other, as determined by Human Resources.
• Position requires strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with SAP is a plus!
