<h1><span><b><b><b>Job Description Summary</b></b></b></span></h1>Become part of a winning team and help to deliver the Green Energy transition in GE Vernova Hydro Power.<br/><br/>Based in our office in Budapest, Hungary, the Supplier Quality Inspector for Mechanical components will drive the Quality with assigned EU suppliers. The role will entail close alignment with Sourcing, Engineering and Quality functions, as well as with other key stakeholders, and will be focusing on electrical materials.<br/><br/>You'll manage dynamic priorities, necessitating minimal guidance, and emphasize effective communication with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and suppliers.<p></p><h1><span><b>Job Description</b></span></h1><p><b><u>Role &amp; Responsibilities:</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Manage supplier inspection activities for mechanical components</p></li><li><p>Review and interpret engineering drawings, and ensure inspections follow design and quality requirements</p></li><li><p>Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with internal teams (Sourcing, Engineering, Quality Assurance) and act as main contact at supplier site</p></li><li><p>Drive continuous improvement in supplier quality, delivery, and performance</p></li><li><p>Investigate non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, and support corrective actions</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with standards and support NDT validation activities</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Required Qualifications:</u></b></p><ul><li><p><b>Education: </b>Engineering Degree OR equivalent experience/knowledge with a T<span>echnical Diploma (Technician)</span>.</p></li><li><p><b><u>Experience: Demonstrated experience in Quality Inspection or Manufacturing activities of Mechanical components.</u></b></p></li><li><p>Knowledge of international standards <i>(such as ISO, DIN for example).</i></p></li><li><p><b>Language: </b>Fluency in English language.</p></li><li><p><b><u>Traveling: Ability and willingness to travel </u></b><b><u>within Europe</u></b><b><u> as required (min 30%).</u></b></p></li><li><p>Demonstrated technical aptitude and a passion for quality.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work in cross-functional and global team environments</p></li><li><p><b>Personality: </b>Highly self-motivated, ethical</p></li><li><p><i>A successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary.</i></p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><u><b><span>Hiring Location:</span></b></u></p><ul><li><p>Váci Greens Office Park, District XIII., Budapest, Hungary</p></li></ul><p></p><p><u><b>Work arrangement: </b></u></p><ul><li><p>Hybrid - 2 office days/week - <span>applicable upon Employer and People Leader permission</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><u><b>Benefits Available to You:</b></u></p><p>GE Vernova employees rise to the challenge of building a world that works.
