Job Summary:

The Disney Decision Science & Integration (DDSI) Center of Excellence provides internal consulting services for clients across The Walt Disney Company including Disney Experiences (Theme Parks, Resorts, Cruise Lines and Consumer Products) and Disney Entertainment (Media Networks, The Walt Disney Studios, D+ and Hulu).  Our mission is to maximize the business performance of The Walt Disney Company by advancing a culture of applied decision science through:

DDSI seeks forward-thinking team members who are passionate about learning our client businesses to enable value through the strategic use of data and analytics. The work requires a combination of analytical mindset with hands-on experience in data and programming, and a natural gift for communicating and presenting sophisticated analytical findings.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple analytics transformations with a focus on B2C opportunities, primarily with Disney Experiences segment.
  • Accountable for client interactions and success.
  • Develop scalable advanced analytic solutions producing recommendations that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges.
  • Develop and lead functional product development processes for your area across DDSI to deliver innovative solutions in a Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery model.
  • Lead team focused on new technologies such as process automation, complex predictive modeling, artificial intelligence, machine learning and computer vision to improve how we do business.
  • Strategic thought partner to help clients develop their growth initiatives, achieve their revenue/OI maximization goals, and solve business needs.
  • Develop a team of analytical professionals who are responsible for data analysis, modeling, solution engineering, sustainment and broad product management.
  • Lead interactions with our vendors and internal teams: Project Management, Data Integration, Decision Science, users, etc.
  • Exhibit critical strategic thinking, consulting skills and creative problem solving throughout project lifecycle including scoping work, shaping deliverables, setting priorities, hitting deadlines, and communicating science into results that can be understood and acted upon.
  • Maintain and manage high-level relationships with key partners throughout TWDC.
  • Manage relationships with external strategic partners to achieve strategic goals and expand into new areas of opportunities.
  • Maintain expertise in current and emerging methodologies in the field of decision science and data analytics, including best practices and changes in the analytics landscape.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years progressive leadership experience in consulting, product design/product management or the application of advanced decision science and analytics
  • 10+ years of product management experience with a proven record of successfully launching products or platforms, including defining principles, vision, strategy and roadmaps for multiple product areas
  • 5+ years managing high performing analytics teams with a focus on product design
  • 5+ years finance, management consulting or product software development
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative or computational field and/or equivalent work experience required

Preferred Qualifications & Education:

  • B.S or M.S in quantitative or computational field (i.e., Math, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Physics or an emphasis in quantitative methods, business analytics, etc.)
  • 5+ years in optimization field, including but not limited to pricing, revenue management, inventory management, scheduling, etc.
  • Proven experience in leading solution engineering or product design and associated methods
  • Experience w/Mixed data sets and approaches (analytics, analytic tools, data science)
