Senior Accountant - Nature-Centered Community

This is a remote position.

Schedule:

• 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday
  

• 9 AM - 6 PM New York, Eastern Time
  

• Perform bank reconciliations throughout the month, timely communicating any questions or transaction issues
  
• Maintain bank balance matrix containing all balances per bank vs books
  
• Perform and maintain inter-company and equity reconciliations
  
• Assist in maintaining the general ledger, including posting journal entries and reconciling accounts
  
• Perform certain month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
  
• Assist with general ledger analysis including month-over-month trends
  
• Maintain prepaid schedule and draft monthly amortization entries
  
• Prepare monthly accrual entries and maintain proper supporting schedules
  
• Perform duties in line with the control environment and maintain proper documentation for year-end audits
  
• Work closely with the Assistant Controller to prepare month-end close pack and related schedules
  

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the accounting field
  
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
  
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel
  
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors
  
• Experience with Sage Intact software a plus
