Within our Platform Services function, we are now hiring for Maconomy Technical Soultion Design Lead in the Maconomy Global Team. Working across both the solution delivery and technical departments, the role will help to successfully deploy Maconomy across the WPP group companies, help design and develop new requests, gather and review OpCo configuration data and actively help and advise the Maconomy Team, OpCos and third parties to ensure each implementation is a success and system is working as expected.
As more companies are onboarded onto Maconomy, there are increasing requests for integration and additional functionality with the application. With your existing knowledge of the system, you will document and design the optimal solution using both Maconomy and third-party tools.
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as project lead the for Technical Solution Design, work directly with all teams associated with the programme and for the Maconomy Core Product Manager/Maconomy Platform Owner
- Collaborate with the Global, Regional and third parties to understand the country specifics tax, legal and statutory needs and help maintain documents submitted for solution design development with Deltek and other third-party suppliers
- Attend deep dives to assess and define technical requirements for the OpCos
- Lead system configuration data gathering
- Analyse and document system configuration data; Prepare Maconomy build files
- Review Country implementation design from a technical point of view
- Review changes requested are in alignment at country level and gather all tax, legal and statutory updates
- Update and present change request documentation for approval to the Design Approval Board and Technical Approval Board
- Interpret issues that arise from the OpCos and SSC and work with BAU Team to identify solutions
- Create excellent working relationships with all parties including the Shared Services Centre Approval board and OpCos
- Participate and present at fundamental meeting such as project alignment meetings and training sessions with OpCos
- Contribute to the Maconomy Core Team development, impart knowledge and train new members and the BAU team and any other relevant teams
- Provide clear and concise documentation including Business Design Documents and any audit and compliance updates
- Support Maconomy Core deployment planning and business readiness activities
- Act as the liaison for the business, post implementation and help embed the Maconomy application in the organization
- Deliver projects in conjunction with the Soultion Architect – e.g., changes, new functionality, rollout of existing features to new geographies like electronic invoicing
- Keep key stakeholders informed of progress on issues, enhancements, releases
- Ensure that all changes (projects, enhancements, fixes) are fully tested, including by business users.
What you'll need:
- Strong finance and accounting knowledge, qualification desirable
- Technical experience of Maconomy including Maconmy Extender and MPL’s
- Strong project management skills are desirable
