Title: Sr. Manager, Supplier Quality

Key Accountabilities:
- Manage, coordinate, and implement supplier quality projects, making detailed plans to accomplish quality goals and directing the integration of technical activities in a commodity based structure
- Manage, coordinate, and implement qualification testing of engine components and systems, with little guidance
- Assign, direct, and evaluate work of Supplier Quality Engineering group, and develop and maintain staff competence
- Write and review audit reports, ensuring closure of open action items, enforcing rules and closure of line calls
- Manage the quality of procured System components, engines and materials by analyzing the relevant information
- Work proactively with suppliers to define specific quality requirements and standards; including development of inspection, verification, qualification and statistical process control methods
- Provide technical guidance to suppliers toward achieving part certification compliance with engineering drawings and specification
- Manage, develop, prioritize and execute an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis to ensure ISO-9001, process control capabilities and company quality standards are met
- Conduct supplier audits to determine compliance with safety, emissions and Company quality standards
- Confer with management personnel to establish quality control and production standards, develop budget and cost controls and prepare reports on progress and potential issues
- Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the RRSA Code.
- Perform special projects as required.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Quality or Metallurgy Engineering and 7 years of experience in quality engineering; or 11 years of experience in quality engineering
- Minimum of 3 year experience translating engineering drawings and specifications into quality planning
- Must be willing to travel to supplier and customer sites as required

- Proven leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of geometric tolerating and related gauges
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Excellent ability to work and make decisions independently
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent experience with engines and engine related components, and foundry processes
- Excellent knowledge of statistical process control
- Excellent ability to work in cross-functional team environment
- Excellent ability to influence and motivate others to take actions in implementing supplier quality initiatives
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Certified quality engineer
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certified
- Lead Auditor certification
