About the role

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for managing the University Insurance Program’s financial operations including processing payments and managing the internal charges to NYU entities which include the NYU Langone Health & NYU Grossman Schools of Medicine, NYU Abu Dhabi, and NYU Shanghai. Create and maintain financial models and presentation materials for any of the activities managed by the Insurance Programs team. This role has a hybrid work schedule: Two days on-site and three days remote per week.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalentPreferred Education:Master's Degree Insurance and Risk ManagementRequired Experience:5+ years of relevant experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and/or accounting for a large corporation or institution of similar size or equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Experience:3+ years Experience with insurance product and markets.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint suites. Proficiency in database applications. Demonstrated ability to understand management processes and requirements and frame analyses and research in a clear, concise fashion. Ability to work and interact with diverse populations and clients. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Familiarity with Oracle software. Ability to code in Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications and utilize any function or formula present in the Excel suite.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $100,000.00 to USD $120,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
