Your Team & Role
The Global Technology organization at Prudential is seeking a Vice President, Security Architect. Reporting to the Chief Architect, the Security Architect will have deep knowledge of technology security and security frameworks, a strong passion around managing security vulnerabilities and risks and protecting enterprise assets, and the ability to work across, educate and influence many partners (e.g. Architecture domain peers, business and corporate function CIOs). This role will lead a team to establish and maintain enterprise security patterns and processes to adequately protect information and technology assets.
Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
Key thought leader, collaborator, and contributor, partnering across teams to define and maintain Architecture Patterns, Reference Architecture and processes to ensure information and technology assets are adequately protected by design and align with other Architecture domains (ie Data, Infrastructure) and with Prudential’s go-forward vision and strategy.
Define target state enterprise security architecture and roadmaps in full alignment with ISO strategy and standards
Ensure new initiatives and related projects are aligned to organization-wide target state architecture strategy, including review and approval of key design documents.
In partnership with ISO and data architecture, determine enterprise-wide strategy for data security, access and provisioning. Ensure technical data standards and data solution architecture designs align with security requirements and data governance policy objectives.
Review and approve significant architectural changes in support of security remediation.
Build reference architectures for use by CIO organizations and heavily influence teams across the enterprise to drive adoption.
Provide leadership, direction and oversight for a team, with a focus on growth and development; accountable for the performance of the team's function.
Provide solution architecture consultation and support for initiatives and product teams; educate business and technology communities across all levels of the organization on security architecture, including patterns, standards, trends, opportunities, and challenges.
Apply Application Portfolio Management practices; maintain disposition for security applications and identify opportunities for modernization and rationalization.
Demonstrate a talent mindset by evangelizing architecture transformation, influencing adoption of the transformation, and driving modernization goals across the enterprise.
Apply expertise in current /modern patterns and practices, across the security domain.
Study the market and industry to proactively identify tech-forward opportunities to solve complex new business and technology challenges and take advantage of the new opportunities that come with technology innovation.
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
At least 10+ years of leadership and management experience in Information security and InfoSec architecture.
Foundational Technical & Conceptual Acumen:
Strong technical knowledge of Security frameworks, Security tools and encryption standards, Authentication and Authorization standards and infrastructure standards, while also having the ability to create and execute upon a clear enterprise strategic vision for target state architecture that supports all businesses and corporate functions.
Strong technical experience planning and building Enterprise cloud security services in AWS and Azure at scale.
Deep knowledge of business processes and business and technical capabilities, preferably in financial services industry.
Knowledge of agile methodology and practices.
Modern Architecture Thought Leadership: Strong knowledge of EA and Solution Architecture frameworks and best practice with awareness of current trends for new architectural patterns and concepts and the ability to apply those patterns and trends to help achieve business-focused transformation outcomes.
