As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and integration of the corporate WAN, LAN, wireless, telephony, and cloud networking environments. This role requires advanced expertise in Cisco networking technologies, Palo Alto security platforms, and Microsoft Azure networking services. The engineer will ensure network availability, reliability, scalability, and security, while leading initiatives that align technology with business objectives.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise networking infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN, routing, switching, and wireless).
  • Implement and manage Cisco networking solutions (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR, Call Manager, IOS/NX-OS).
  • Manage and optimize Palo Alto firewalls (DLP, SSL-decryption, NAT, URL filtering, GlobalProtect VPN, Threat Prevention).
  • Deploy and administer Microsoft Azure networking services (Virtual Networks, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Network Security Groups, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall).
  • Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry standards through firewall rule management, segmentation, and monitoring.
  • Support hybrid connectivity between on-premises networks and Azure cloud environments.
  • Perform capacity planning, monitoring, and tuning to ensure network performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams on cross-functional projects.
  • Lead vendor engagement for network hardware/software upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and operational runbooks.
  • Provide Tier-3 escalation support and participate in on-call rotations.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise-class environments.
  • Certifications preferred: Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Palo Alto PCNSE, Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate.
  • Expert-level knowledge of:
  • Cisco routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, QoS, VoIP, SIP, H.323).
  •  Palo Alto firewalls and security features (App-ID, User-ID, Threat Prevention, Panorama).
  • Microsoft Azure networking (ExpressRoute, VNets, VPNs, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, DNS).
  • Strong experience with Aruba Wireless & ClearPass, VPNs, and remote access solutions.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Cisco DNA, Panorama, Azure Monitor).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and present solutions to leadership.

AI-Enhanced Responsibilities:

  • Leverage AI-driven network monitoring and management tools to proactively detect anomalies, predict failures, and optimize performance.
  • Implement AI-based security analytics for advanced threat detection and automated response (UEBA, machine learning-driven firewall policies).
  • Utilize AI for intelligent traffic analysis, load balancing, and bandwidth optimization across hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud).
  • Integrate AI-powered automation to streamline configuration management, compliance checks, and change management processes.

AI-Enhanced Qualifications:

  • Experience with AI/ML-driven network tools and platforms (e.g., Cisco DNA Center AI Analytics, Palo Alto Cortex, Azure AI-based monitoring).
  • Familiarity with AI/ML techniques applied
