Your Role at Batesville:
As a Corporate Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial statements through timely and accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of financial transactions. This role assists in the month-end close process, prepares journal entries, performs account analyses, and supports external audit and compliance activities.

- The expected base salary range for this role is $ $65,000 to $80,000 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
- In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses or other forms of incentive compensation.

What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances or discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support consolidation of subsidiaries and intercompany accounting transactions
- Participate in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Assist with external audit requests and provide supporting documentation
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and record depreciation
- Administer and account for operating and finance leases in accordance with ASC 842
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies
- Prepare and review account analyses, accruals, and variance explanations
- Support process improvements and automation within the accounting function
- Other duties may be assigned
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in accounting
- Minimum of 2 years related to progressive public or industry accounting experience and/or training
Nice to Haves:
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Experience with consolidation and reporting tools is a plus (OneStream)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
