Global Operations Senior Legal Manager

This role is part of the global operations legal team and supports Pernod Ricard’s procurement and operations functions, which are a mix of centralised and globally co-ordinated activities, with a specific focus on direct and indirect procurement, supply chain logistics, innovation, and S&R. Reporting to the Global Operations Legal Director, you will work in partnership with other lawyers, procurement and operations professionals and other key stakeholders throughout the Pernod Ricard group globally.
Your Key missions:
You will assist the Global Operations Legal Director in managing the global procurement and operations legal support hub, consisting of lawyers based at multiple sites. This will involve implementing and improving “ways of working”, harmonised processes and systems to ensure a high level of communication and transparency within the team and with all key stakeholders. You will also contribute towards developing a team culture based on efficiency, business alignment, continuous improvement and world class legal support.
Day-to-day you and your diverse global legal team, in close collaboration with all the Global Operations Legal Director, the Brand Company Legal Directors and the local and central procurement teams, will be responsible for:
Direct-and indirect procurement, supply chain: providing legal support on direct procurement (i.e. primary, secondary and tertiary product packaging), indirect procurement (POS, VAPS, and various business services) and supply chain logistics for both the brand company, HQ and central procurement teams. This includes regulatory and contractual problem solving, legal support for supplier disputes and responding to queries from these teams;
Innovation and S&R: providing legal support and strategic guidance to fast-moving group R&I (product development, breakthrough innovation) and S&R (carbon emissions, circular economy initiatives, packaging compliance and adherence to regulation) functions;
Contracts: Drafting/revising, reviewing, advising on and negotiating various commercial contracts in partnership with procurement specialists and multiple other stakeholders across our global business.
RFx activity: Supporting procurement exercises – including preparing RFx materials, negotiating with event participants, assessing participant submissions, reporting to and advising the procurement teams and helping manage the award of business (including localisation and associated documentation).
