Quality Engineer Manager, Devices

Job Location

• This role is currently Hybrid and you would need to be commutable to our Philadelphia, PA or Las Vegas, NV office

Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
• OR Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Software Quality Engineer, or related certification
• OR 5 years experience in quality engineering, software engineering, or related role
• Building on existing and creating new automation strategies to enable and drive Engineering teams across FreedomPay Web teams to build automation at scale.
• Build product expertise to identify and close gaps in automation test coverage in our products.
• Establish team metrics for measurement of quality and operational excellence and a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvements.
• Lead the improvement and implementation of best practices, methodologies, and tooling to meet quality coverage needs for products.
• Be the advocate for testability, drive best engineering practices and defect prevention
• Understand the ins and outs of our product and identify gaps in automated test coverage

Preferred Job Experience

• Development and or scripting experience
• Five + years of experience in related field required with supervisory experience a plus.
• backend API testing experience using Postman, Kadalon  or other related tool
• Bitbucket and Git source control
• MS SQL Server database or applicable experience
• TeamCity and Octopus automation or applicable CI tool experience
• Payment industry practices and point of sale hardware and software.
• Scrum/Agile experience required.
• Security penetration testing and PCI compliance
• Front-end web application and automation testing
