About the Role:

The Team: 

Markit Corporate Actions (MCA) provides a centralized source of validated corporate action data for nearly three million equities, fixed income, and structured securities, across more than 160 countries and territories. The MCA Support team needs a Software Support Analyst for our application platform which serves our clients globally. The role will act as a first point of contact for Technical queries or problems related to the MCA platform.

Responsibilities and Impact: 

• Include Issue Analysis, Technical analysis, troubleshooting, Script Writing, and bug fixes

• Willingness to learn new technologies

• Work within a team structure

Compensation/Benefits Information:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $124,000. The final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. 

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For: 

Basic Required Qualifications: 

•  3+ years of experience in a similar role with a Degree in Technology, Computer Science, IT or a relevant amount of applicable experience

• Experience with SQL/ Oracle & UNIX scripting/ Python

• Experience using Java

• Comfortable managing change to Production/Business Critical applications in high-availability environments and providing L3 support

• Ability to analyze production incidents and prepare Root Cause Analysis & monitoring scripts

• Significant customer service focus

• Willingness to learn new skills

• Excellent Problem-Solving Skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Corporate Actions business

• Knowledge of financial markets or financial feeds

• Self-motivated, proactive work ethic
