Position Summary
This position will be responsible for developing and delivering sales analysis and comprehensive data reporting to further enhance retail execution and accelerate sales growth across the on-premise business. Under the general direction of the Director, Business Unit Operations, this individual will evaluate the overall arc of the on-premise team’s performance against plan targets, strategic growth initiatives, and will help identify opportunities to bridge any gaps or further accelerate business results. This individual will be expected to drive improvements in data tools and analytics across the team and will provide actionable analysis on performance against our on-premise key sales initiatives and growth strategies to help guide Constellation Brands Beer Division to achieve key performance goals and will enhance accountability of results across the team.
This individual will report directly to the Director, Business Unit Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly benchmarking and scorecard reporting on results and standings relative to plan performance, distribution, depletions, and retail execution using CBI data mining tools. Develops and circulates reports recapping team and distributor performance versus targets.
- In collaboration with the Business Unit Operations Director, this role establishes, develops, and manages all team data reporting processes.
- Identify key success measures for incentives/programming and evaluates ROI.
- Provide weekly/monthly sales versus forecast analysis to the on-premise leadership team. Develops reporting capabilities to supports on-premise inventory management activities in collaboration with geographic business teams and assists with product allocations as required.
- Develop presentation materials, tools, and data supporting on-premise results for internal team and external distributor/BU/retailer meetings.
- Participate in periodic field market visits, wholesaler meetings, retailer sales calls, and retail standards surveys with local sales team members to gain an understanding of market dynamics and apply insights to sales support projects.
- Assist in the on-boarding and training of new on-premise team employees in the utilization of the CBI data mining programs.
- Function as the national on-premise team’s liaison and subject matter expert in support of several corporate initiatives including, but not limited to: annual business plan development, retail standards data collection, IRI, and national/regional incentive program trackers, budget reporting, etc.
- Partner with the various on-premise stakeholder groups in the development and completion of retailer, wholesaler and key market data analysis.
- Responsible for ensuring on-premise channel data management and integrity.
- Complete ah-hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years’ experience working in a sales/market analysis position. Consumer goods experience preferred, alcohol beverage industry experience a plus.
- Must have previous experience with coordinating and analyzing sales data and insights from multiple sources and creating persuasive sales support tools based on findings.
- Must have knowledge and experience with business information reporting and planning tools. Demonstrated ability to learn internal software applications and specialized customer tools as required.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to provide multi-level analysis, reporting, and actionable insights. Demonstrates ability to integrate finer data points into actionable insights and selling tools.
- Precise, detail-oriented, analytical, and deadline-driven with the ability to work under pressure. Must take initiative and work with a high level of professionalism.
