We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
Dominion Energy seeks qualified candidates to fill one position at either the Engineer or Senior Engineer level at Millstone Nuclear Station located in Waterford, CT. This position will provide procurement engineering support of electrical and electronic systems that support nuclear power generations.
This role is a second level position that is responsible for specifying technical and quality requirements to support acceptance of electrical and I&C materials and services that support nuclear plant operations. Candidate will proficiently perform assignments having the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience needed to carry out all aspects of the job. Shall exercise independent judgement and decision‐making in planning, organizing and conducting work assignments. Instructions and guidance may be received on unusual or complex problems and the candidate should know when to get others involved. Should effectively utilize the proper resources to develop solutions and devise new approaches to problems encountered in work assignments while identifying and eliminating unnecessary work and non‐value-added activities.
Duties include:
- Develop technical and quality assurance specifications in support of purchasing nuclear plant materials and services, derived from a detailed knowledge of plant system design and programmatic requirements.
- Develop commercial grade dedication plans for acceptance testing and inspection of commercial grade products in accordance with EPRI NP‐5652 to verify suitability for use as a basic component in accordance with 10 CFR 21.3.
- Perform evaluations of alternate replacement items to meet system and component design basis requirements.
- Ability to identify failure effects and perform failure modal analysis of a variety of electrical and electronic commodities, analog and digital systems and sub‐systems, instrumentation and control equipment, and power generating and distribution equipment.
- Serve as the Technical Specialist in support of quality assurance audits and surveys at vendor’s facilities in support of product manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with nuclear quality assurance requirements and industry standards.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Engineer: 2+ years of electrical engineering experience.
Senior Engineer: 5+ years of electrical engineering experience.
- Full knowledge of engineering theories and principles
- Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and practices.
- Knowledge of various computer applications, with the ability to manipulate data and personal computer applications to arrive at informed technical decisions (MS Office, SAP, Maximo, etc.)
- Equally effective working independently or in a team environment.
- Proven decision‐making skills.
- Ability to process information quickly and effectively manages multiple tasks.
- Great verbal and written communication skills.
