THE POSITION
Reporting Structure: The Director – HR Business Partner reports to the Chief People Officer
Role and Responsibilities
The Director – HR Business Partner leads enterprise-wide talent development strategies that align with CRST’s operational and growth goals. This role serves as a strategic advisor to business and HR leaders, translating talent needs into scalable programs that build capability, increase engagement, and drive performance across the company.
Key responsibilities include:
- Talent Strategy Leadership – Lead company-wide initiatives in performance management, succession planning and talent assessments
- Business Partnership – Collaborate with senior leaders to translate business needs into strategic talent plans
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Build partnerships across departments to support internal mobility and high-performing teams
- Program Expertise – Guide and scale enterprise talent programs including LEAD, Rotational Development and Internships
- Strategic Alignment – Ensure talent development initiatives directly support operational goals and business priorities
- Talent Review Execution – Drive enterprise-wide calibration and talent review processes to develop future-ready teams
- Organizational Influence – Lead change by influencing talent priorities and promoting a strong leadership culture
- People Leadership – May include direct reports depending on organizational structure
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proven success in talent development, organizational development or HR business partner roles
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or SHRM certification
- 8+ years of experience as an HR leader in a complex, matrixed environment
- Experience leading enterprise-wide succession and talent strategies
- Demonstrated ability to consult with senior leaders and deliver targeted people solutions
- Knowledge of talent programs including leadership development, internships and rotations
- Strong ability to influence, align cross-functional teams and build high-performance cultures
