Job Description:
In this role, you would be responsible for assembling, modifying, and reworking printed circuit cards in a high-mix, low-volume lab environment to support prototype and small-batch builds. You would perform hand soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components, operating surface mount machines, coating, rework, and touch-up using standard assembly tools, equipment, and work instructions. You would also verify workmanship to applicable quality standards; document build issues and collaborate with engineering to resolve design or manufacturability concerns.
Essential Functions:
· Complete circuit card assembly operations on various electronic products, while ensuring compliance with required performance specifications
· Work from both oral and written instructions, engineering drawings, blueprints, supporting surface mount and thru-hole circuit cards and their applicable components
· Document assembly data and results; Provide documentation of failed products
· Work under a microscope for long periods of time
· Support OT as needed to meet schedule requirements and business needs
· Obtain COMSEC training
Qualifications:
· Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
· Ability to obtain security clearance as required
· IPC 610, J-STD, and Space addendum certifications required
Preferred Additional Skills:
· Knowledgeable with Microsoft suite and personal computing devices
· Proficient in multiple electronics manufacturing processes, including soldering, hand tools, and ESD practices
· Experience with surface mount technology
